I’ve spent my career working in Carbon County—learning how decisions are made, how they impact families, and what it takes to get them right.
I’m running for County Commissioner to bring that experience, perspective, and accountability to the role.
I grew up in a small coastal town in Oregon, where my father worked in the timber industry. Like coal in Carbon County, timber shaped our community—demanding hard work, reliability, and a commitment to showing up even when the job was tough. That blue-collar foundation continues to guide how I approach decisions today.
My mom owned a small salon, where I saw firsthand what it takes to run a business—managing customers, budgets, long hours, and the pressure of building something from the ground up. From my parents, I learned the value of hard work, accountability, and respect for the people who keep a community running.
When my family moved to Utah in 1999, those values came with me. I built my life, family, and career here in Carbon County, carrying those same principles forward.
I’ve been married to my husband, Adam, since 2010. Together we’re a blended family of five children. Like many families in Carbon County, our life has been built on hard work, adapting to challenges, and supporting each other through it all. Those experiences keep me grounded and focused on the real needs of families in our community.
Adam has built his career in law enforcement here in Carbon County. Through his work—and the experiences of those he serves alongside—I’ve seen firsthand how decisions made at a distance affect the people doing the work and the families who rely on them.
Those experiences have shaped how I approach leadership: grounded, practical, and focused on real people.
I’ve worked in property management, hospitality, and the medical field, spending much of my career as a Medical Assistant in local clinics. That work gave me direct insight into people’s lives during some of their most vulnerable moments and reinforced the importance of listening, understanding, and making informed decisions.
In 2022, I began working in county government—a turning point that gave me a deeper understanding of how decisions are made and how they affect both employees and residents.
That experience has given me a clear understanding of how county decisions impact our community—and how to get those decisions right.
In my current role, I’ve gained hands-on experience in how county government functions day-to-day. My work includes:
Managing county facilities and operations
Overseeing budgets, contracts, and public programs
Working with multiple departments and community partners
Improving services while operating within tight budgets
I’ve seen how decisions at the Commission level can either support departments or create challenges, and how important it is to understand both the process and the real-world impact.
I understand how county government works and what it takes to make it work better.
In 2025, I graduated from the Eastern Leaders Academy. This experience broadened my understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing our region and connected me with leaders across government, business, and community organizations.
I bring those insights back to Carbon County to make more informed, balanced decisions.
I believe leadership starts with being present and involved in the community you serve.
I’ve worked with local organizations, supported community events, and taken an active role in strengthening programs that bring people together and support those in need. I helped establish the Carbon County Fair and Black Diamond Rodeo Committees, working alongside others to bring back two important community traditions.
These efforts weren’t just about events—they were about creating opportunities for families, supporting local businesses, and rebuilding connections across Carbon County.
These experiences keep me connected to the people and priorities that matter most in our community.
My involvement in local government and community leadership has given me hands-on experience with how decisions are made and how to work effectively with others to get things done.
I currently serve as Vice Chair of the Carbon County Republican Party, where I’ve gained direct experience with elections, candidate development, and the responsibilities that come with public service. This role has also allowed me to build relationships with local, state, and federal leaders and better understand the issues facing our community.
Through this work, I’ve developed a strong understanding of the decision-making process and the importance of collaboration, communication, and accountability.
This experience has strengthened my ability to bring people together and focus on results.
I’m running for County Commissioner to bring experience, perspective, and a commitment to thoughtful decision-making.
We need to continue building a strong local economy by supporting businesses, attracting new opportunities, and ensuring growth is balanced with infrastructure and community needs.
I believe in careful budgeting, transparency, and making sure resources are used efficiently to serve residents.
Our facilities, programs, and events bring people together and strengthen our community. I will continue to support and improve them so they serve residents effectively.
Good government listens. I’m committed to open communication, collaboration, and making sure residents feel informed and heard.
I understand the responsibility this role requires and am prepared to give it the time, attention, and accountability it deserves.
My focus is on making informed, thoughtful decisions that serve Carbon County well—now and in the future.
I am committed to serving Carbon County with a practical approach grounded in real experience. I will continue working to support strong communities, responsible growth, and effective local government.
I would be honored to earn your vote.
